What the project investment will enable
Money invested in this project will enable Aptech Africa to build two solar powered mini grids in Madagascar. This is the second of two offers on Energise Africa that will raise funds to carry out the Madagascar mini grids project.
In Androka, in southern Madagascar, Aptech Africa will build a mini grid including a 65 kWp solar photovoltaic array, 129 kWh of battery storage and a 60 kVA diesel generator. In Manatenina, in south-eastern Madagascar, Aptech Africa will build a mini grid that includes an 82 kWp photovoltaic array, 191 kWh of battery storage and a 40 kVA diesel generator. Aptech Africa will also be providing training, maintenance and spare parts after the mini grids are built.

Aptech Africa's customer for the Madagascar mini grids project is the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
